Installation and removal
Open Fire Installation
Traditional open fires reinstated or installed from scratch, with the flue made safe first.
Nothing beats a real open fire for atmosphere. Whether you want to reinstate a boarded over fireplace, replace a tired gas fire with a solid fuel grate or fit a new fire basket and surround, Rob can take the job from first look to first light.
The flue is always inspected and swept first, the hearth and opening are checked against current regulations and any liner or repairs are dealt with before the fire itself goes in.

FAQs
Open Fires questions
No. A stove puts far more heat into the room from the same wood. An open fire is about the look and feel, and Rob will be honest about the trade off.
